A day in the kitchen of Spoon of Love

A day in the kitchen of Spoon of Love is an exciting one, despite all the mundane protocols one may think it entails. Like any household, our morning begins with fresh dairy products being delivered, which we then label with the date, to ensure everything used in making our lovemeals is always fresh.

This is also when we get the delivery for our vegetables and groceries, and they are first disinfected using the UV machine and then transferred to the store. The kitchen is also sanitised before all the work starts.

It’s around 9 am when one could expect our so far quiet kitchen to start bustling - with our staff sanitising, and then getting started in preparing for what the day may behold - the expected, but also the unexpected.

This, we would say, is when the kitchen starts smelling and sounding like one - with vegetables being cut, desserts being made, sauces being prepared.

These preparations are then personally checked by our head team, making sure nothing leaves the kitchen unless it satisfies the Spoon of Love mark. This is in fact, done more than once depending upon the season.

And while the preparations are smoothly underway, it’s time to open our kitchen, and once the orders start brewing in, everything is catered to in a way that the process is completely flawless - from the Jain, non-Jain preparation, special requests, garnishings, sealed food, timely dispatching, making sure all the little details get our full attention.

An amalgamation of flavours!

An amalgamation of flavours!

The kitchen at Spoon of Love, for us, is a place where all our senses come alive - the smell of fresh food, the sound of not only the kitchen but also music (yes, it’s been a very integral part of the kitchen - we take our music seriously! :D), the taste of our lovemeals and dessert shots, and the touch of making food, jotting everything down, and whatnot, and of course - the sight of Spoon of Love becoming what we envisioned for it to become - a place where we can make food that is more than just food.
