How at Spoon of Love, we support Sustainability

It’s not been long since we completed a year long journey at Spoon of Love, and that made us reflect on many things, especially how we started our cloud kitchen in the middle of the pandemic, a kitchen that has been Crafted with a lot of passion, and intent.

One such decision point out of the many we had to take during a very nascent stage of our journey, was about sustainability. And it was a no-brainer for us, we wanted to not only serve food that was made with love, but also food that was made with a lot of thought and conscience towards our environment.

At Spoon of Love, we imbibe ‘We Care’, which is our attempt to care about the little things that matter. We believe in being transparent, and we wanted to share how we play our part in ensuring that our actions are sustainable.

  • Sustainable Materials:

We chose packaging material that is kind to earth - sustainable materials like recycled paper, bagasse, and jute.

  • Minimal Packaging:

Our packaging is designed in such a way that it is compact, making sure that we use material only on a need basis, hence reducing wastage.

  • Festive add-ons:

Whenever we are conceptualising add-ons for special occasions and festivities, we make sure we tie-up with small businesses and find materials that are environmentally friendly.

  • Local Produce:

We encourage local produce - ingredients that are fresh and inherently good for you. We intend to support small businesses and try to source our ingredients locally as much as possible.

  • Vegetarian Movement:

We believe in the vegetarian movement, reducing our carbon footprint, and making vegetarian cuisine accessible in a way that is truly global and modern.

We genuinely believe that little things matter, and what all we shared with you here, is the little things we do at Spoon of Love, and we hope that over time, we get better at supporting the global movement towards sustainability.
